Local volunteers and supporters gathered at the Cheadle constituency Liberal Democrat office in Cheadle Hulme to hear Baroness Williams speak about the election campaign and to pay tribute to local candidate Mark Hunter.

Commenting after the visit, Baroness Williams said:

“I was delighted to visit Cheadle constituency this afternoon to show my support for Mark Hunter.  Mark is a local champion who always put the needs of local residents first and I truly believe he is the best choice for Cheadle next week.”

Mark Hunter added:

“I am hugely grateful for Shirley taking the time to travel to Cheadle constituency today, as I know many of our local supporters are.  She shared her fascinating insight into the election campaign with us, and has been a real boost to all the volunteers as we prepare for the final push.

“I am looking forward to the final week of the campaign and getting out to speak to as many local residents as possible about the plans I have to make Cheadle an even better place to live and work.”
